Eligibility Criteria for Various BIS Posts

  • Senior Secretariat Assistant: Bachelor’s degree in any stream with proficiency in Word Processing, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Junior Secretariat Assistant: Bachelor’s degree with proficiency in typing (English 35 WPM or Hindi 30 WPM).
  • Stenographer: Bachelor’s degree with shorthand (80 WPM) and transcription skills (English 50 WPM, Hindi 65 WPM).
  • Assistant Section Officer (ASO): Bachelor’s degree with computer proficiency.
  • Technical Assistant (Laboratory): Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (60%) or Bachelor’s degree in Science with relevant trade (60% marks for general, 50% for SC/ST).
  • Senior Technician: 10th pass with ITI certificate and 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Technician (Electrician/Wireman): 10th pass with ITI certificate in Electrician/Wireman.
  • Assistant Director (Administration & Finance): CA/Cost Accountant/MBA Finance with 3 years of experience.
  • Assistant Director (Marketing & Consumer Affairs): MBA or Master’s degree in relevant field with 3 years of experience.
  • Assistant Director (Hindi): Master’s degree in Hindi/English with relevant experience.
  • Personal Assistant: Bachelor’s degree with shorthand proficiency (100 WPM) and transcription (English 45 min, Hindi 65 min).
  • Assistant (Computer-Aided Design): Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in relevant engineering with 5 years of experience.
